MY NBA MOCK 1.0
New Orleans Pelicans- ZION WILLIAMSON DUHHHHH- Guys a freak athlete and a once in a generation player.
Memphis Grizzlies- JA Morant- A smaller freak athlete who played AAU with Zion. I may have to do some research on whats going on down in SoCar. Great guard that averaged 24.6 points and 10.0 assists per game.
New York Knicks- RJ Barrett- I still like RJ even though he soured for a lot of people. His shot selection really hurt him, but I also don’t think if he shot better that he would move ahead of JA or Zion. I think he would be a great pick for the Knicks or Pelicans.
LA Lakers- Cam Reddish- I don’t have a clue what the Lakers will do here. If they want the best piece, they should take Cam. I hope he can reach his full potential. They should find somebody to hypnotize him or something.
Cleveland Cavaliers- Jarrett Culver- I heard a bunch about Culver all, but never actually tuned into a Texas Tech game until late in the year. He was playing West Virginia and basically took over to keep his team in the game. While his tournament wasn’t great, I still feel like he could have a solid ceiling and a high floor.
Pheonix Suns- Coby White- He’s Big a guard with a shifty game. I wouldn’t be mad with them taking either White or Garland here. Hopefully they get the point guard they’ve needed for years.
Chicago Bulls- Deandre Hunter- Hunter is the best pick available. He could either come off the bench or start if they think baby Dirk can play the five. Also, if the Bulls hate Kris Dunn they can take Garland.
Atlanta- Rui Hachimura- I like his game and woulda liked it even more if he didn’t play damn Gonzaga. Trae Young is, in fact, good so they don’t need Garland.
Wizards- Nassir Little- Can this team dump John Wall and his big ol contract ? IF so they take my guy Darius, but in this mock we’ll consider this a John Wall lead team which means they’re take Nassir Little. Highest ceiling on my big board.
Atlanta- Romeo Langford- Alright, this is getting ridiculous, but if we get this far maybe the Hawks say fuck it and take Garland. If not, they could take their favorite and my favorite is Kevin Porter. You say well thats not Kevin Porter ??? No its Romeo and he’s more liekly to go higher because Kevin was a bad boy in college.
MN Twolves- Darius Garland- Finally !! He’s off the board !! This is very unlikely and you probably think it was an elaborate set up, but I’m not that smart. I want us to take Kevin Porter or Naz Ried, but we never will. I would be most happy with this happening, but I doubt it.
Charlotte Hornets- Bol Bol- The biggest question mark of this draft. With his skinny frame and some deep range, he could easily be the most obvious bust, but I think you take a shot here.
Miami Heat- Keldon Johnson- I like Keldon’s game and think the Heat could go in a lot of directions. He gets buckets who cares
Boston Celtics- Naz Reid- I like everything about Naz other than his conditioning. He bangs, hes handles, hes wet. I think if he is literally only playing basketball, he will be a monster.
Detroit- Sekou Doumbouya- Don’t know much about this man. Watched a Vice video about him which was pretty cool. Pistons could use wing help and he could be perfect for them.
Orlando- Brandon Clarke- I feel Kind of bad letting him fall this low, but I feel like he’s small for what he’s gonna play. I feel like he may have relied to much on his length and athleticism. If he can refine his offence more I think I could end up eating crow with this one.
Nets- Kevin Porter Jr.- Love this pick and I love the Nets. They are young and full of scorers as well as Jarrett Allen and Ed Davis. He has game. He just has to be on the court
Indiana- Cam Johnson- Great shooter at 6’8. They could use some wing depth and Cam would bring that.
Spurs- Bruno- oops slipped a bit
Celtics- Ty jerome- gritty guy with kyrie/terry out they could use another pg
OKC- KZ Okpala- watched him play UCLA and he didnt impress but I do like what I’ve heard and his bod
Celtics- MAtisse Thybulle- Athletic, good at defence. I think he fits the bill, expierienced.
