SPORTS WRITERS NEED TO STICK TO SPORTS
In this time of unknown I try to go to the internet to escape from the reality that we might be in the midst of the apocalypse. I go to find cats with tape on their paws, people doing really cool dances to catchy songs, and insanely hot sports takes. I am constantly in search of the hottest takes from the modern day Socrates of sport. Nothing gets me more hot than a great mind of sport that pushes their personal ideologies on me.
You are great at constructing a list of the best players that dropped 30 points 12 assists and 4 personal fouls on april 3rd. You are a SPORTS writer. You are a SPORTS personalty. You are a SPORTS personality. You are not a MUSIC, FILM, or CULTURE expert.
Why can’t these people just stick to what they know. I am constantly having these music, film and pop-cultural ideologies pushed on me by these writers that have no idea what it is like to be the common man. All they know is the cushy life of writing on a ergonomic chair while I am writing from a 19th century wooden chair.
Instead of focusing on what they should be (sports), they are putting time into listening to music or watching TV. I get that they have a life outside of sports media, but why push that on us. Enjoy your shows, but don’t you dare put that on my timeline. I won’t let their uneducated opinions be pushed on me! I am a red blooded media consumer! I am sick and tired of having “sports writers” not sticking to “sports writing.”
