We Need a Dog District ASAP
As the Bucks have become a perennial playoff team over the past few years I’ve had to see more and more of the Deer District outside out Fiserv Forum. Every time they flash to the fans going insane like they are at a music festival rolling of molly it brings me a small bit of sadness.
A bit of the sadness comes from the Timberwolves having nothing like this, and without major construction have no space for it. Downtown Minneapolis could really use 15,000 more fans fueling the post quarantine economy. I want this for the betterment of Minneapolis and for sure 100% not personal enjoyment.
Of course, the primary reason for the sadness comes from the fact that the Timberwolves would need to play in a meaningful game to bring in a crowd like this. We’re used to being over meaningful basketball in March. So every time they show Deer District going insane as the Bucks inch closer to a championship, I get a reminder of just how far away we are. Although this has been a pretty cry baby sad Wolves blog, I am once again overly optimistic about next season and will be taking the Wins over.
As I am writing this the Bucks Hawks series is 2-2, Giannis’ knee is hyper-extended, Trae Young has a bone bruise, and I could see it going either way. We’ve seen 4 different teams game to game. Will Cam Reddish take this series over? Can Jrue Holiday play Offense? We will see! I will be content with either team making the finals as I am currently a Valley Boy, but there is a huge part of me that wants to experience a finals Deer District.
